Dr.Steven Becker is a 5th generation Rochesterian who grew up in Penfield, where he was on the Penfield Central High School wrestling team.

Dr.Becker earned his bachelor’s degree from Kalamazoo College in Michigan. He received his Doctor of Optometry at SUNY College of Optometry in Manhattan,NY.

Dr.Becker has practiced in the Rochester area for 30 years. Dr.Becker performs both general eye exams and contact lens fittings—including toric lenses for astigmatism.

Dr.Becker and his wife Suzzane have two wonderful daughters, Erin and Rachel. He has been known to sail, golf, Alpine ski and even coach recreation league soccer on his rare days off.

Dr.Becker sees patients at our Lyell and Perinton locations.

Dr.Kevin Clogg is a New York State certified optometrist able to diagnose and treat ocular disease. He routinely performs comprehensive eye exams, contact lens fittings including bifocal and astigmatism lenses, glaucoma assessments, and dilated retinal exams. Dr. Clogg is devoted to providing specialized patient care unique to each patient’s needs.

He has a Bachelor of Science from SUNY Oswego, a Bachelor of Science in Vision Sciences and a Doctor of Optometry degree from Pennsylvania College of Optometry. He has an extensive background in vision care from his clinical experience at The Eye Institute in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, The Veteran’s Affairs Hospital in Salem,Virginia, and here at Rochester Optical.

Dr. Clogg is a member of the America Optometric Association, the New York State Optometric Association and the Rochester Optometric Society. He regularly attends Continuing Education lectures with his wife, Dr Judith Archer, to keep abreast on current developments in glaucoma management, Macular Degeneration treatment, difficult contact lens fits, and diabetic eye care.

Dr.Kenneth Dickerson, OD

Dr. Kenneth Dickerson was raised in Conesus, New York. He is a graduate of SUNY Geneseo with a Bachelor of Science in 2002. He went on to The New England College of Optometry and received a Doctorate in Optometry in 2006. He then spent two and a half years working with an Ophthalmologist in Rhode Island before returning to the Rochester area.

Dr. Dickerson’s professional affiliations include American Optometric Association, The New York Optometric Society, and the Rochester Optometric Society for which he is the Treasurer.

Dr. Dickerson currently resides in Hamlin, New York with his wife Jennifer and daughters Alice and Josephine. Outside of work you may find him working in the garden, or on the waters of Lake Ontario Kayaking, or on bike ride with daughters in tow.

Dr. Vadim Guy is a Rochester local, who grew up in Greece and earned his Bachelors of Science in Biochemistry from Roberts Wesleyan College. He then obtained his Doctor of Optometry degree at Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale Florida. During his optometric training, he completed his externship training at Bascom Palmer Eye Institute and clinical rotations in binocular vision, contact lens, geriatrics, low vision, pediatrics, and primary care with ocular disease.

Following graduation from optometry school, Dr. Guy completed a residency program at the Nova Southeastern University College of Optometry in Pediatrics and Binocular Vision. Dr. Guy is excited to return to the Rochester area. His areas of interest include binocular vision, contact lenses, pediatric and adult primary care, amblyopia (lazy eye), and strabismus (eye turn).

Dr. Guy is a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry and a candidate for fellowship with the College of Optometrist in Vision Development. He is a member of the American Optometric Association, New York State Optometric Association, Rochester Optometric Society, and many others.

In his spare time, Dr. Guy enjoys spending time with his family and friends, traveling, snowboarding and water sports, volunteering, and fashion. He is fluent in Ukrainian and Russian.

Dr. Tara C. Vaz OD, FAAO is an experienced New York State certified Optometrist. After graduating from Optometry School in 2001 from SUNY, State College of Optometry, Dr. Vaz completed a Clinical Research Fellowship in Cornea and Contact Lens. Following completion of the Fellowship, Dr. Vaz accepted an assistant clinical professorship appointment at SUNY State College of Optometry where she supported the Internal Clinic through direct patient care and student supervision in Contact Lens Specialty and Primary Care Clinics, taught students in Optometric techniques and contact lens fitting labs, and supervised Ophthalmology residents in the Contact Lens Specialty Clinic at New York Eye & Ear Infirmary.

In 2004 she moved to Rochester and joined a locally based vision care industry company as a Clinical Research Optometrist where she led over a hundred clinical studies for contact lenses, lens care products and ophthalmic drops, in addition to representing Clinical Affairs on Research and Development teams. Dr. Vaz joined the Rochester Optical team to practice primary care Optometry in July of this year.

Dr. Vaz is a fellow of the American Academy of Optometry and is a member of the American Optometric Association. Currently she is serving as Secretary of the Rochester Optometric Society.
